Police in Warren, Vermont reported that a nineteen year-old woman died on the morning of Saturday, February 1, 2014, while skiing on the Sugarbush Mountain in Vermont.
According to the Vermont State Police, 19 year-old University of Vermont student Kendra Bowers was skiing with her friends and family on the Mount Ellen trail at Sugarbush. Kendra apparently lost control on a steep portion of the trail and struck a trail sign.
Emergency responders at the resort took Bowers down the rest of the trail and rushed her to the emergency room of nearby Central Vermont hospital in Berlin, Vermont. Doctors at the hospital pronounced Bowers dead shortly following her arrival at the hospital.
Vermont State Police are investigating Bowers’ wrongful death, which presently appears to be an unfortunate accident.
